I chose this image for the information design because it has a lot of information, with a very simple design. The design is very appealing because of the colors that the designer chose; the contrast of the colors make each layer stand out. There is a key that describes what each color represents and on the top of each block, there is the name of the city that is being represented. The imagery is clearly displayed and again, there is another key describing what each of those represent. One of the blocks has a measuring grid next to it to explain what each sized level represents so the viewer can use that to determine the rest of the layers. This is a very clever way to have the measuring tool in it without it overwhelming the design. This is a very eye appealing and clever way to convey a large amount of information on a single diagram.
