Dan Rojas – Disney Map – Information Design – Assignment # 6

December 4, 2012

I choose the map of Disney Worlds parks as an ideal example of information design. This map is a clear example of what good design looks like. It captures the identity of the whole brand through its bright colors and imaginative look. Also it gives you clear cut images of the park with images that trigger instant understanding of exact locations and land marks within the Disney World parks making it easy and simple to understand. Also this is powerful because it has numbers on each of the images that represent specific locations so you can refer to a glossary adjacent to the map to verify what you see.
